Taylor accompanied the 82nd Airborne Division to North Africa, landing in Sicily. He commanded the 101st Airborne Division that dropped into Normandy behind Utah Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. After the war, he served as Chief of Staff of the Army (1955-1959), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1962-1964) and U.S. Ambassador to South Vietnam (1964-1965). Irregularly cut. Lightly creased. Pinhead sized spot in upper left. Otherwise, fine condition.
