Eisenhower's Order of the Day, June 6, 1944. In WWII, General Maxwell D. Taylor accompanied the 82nd Airborne Division to North Africa, landing in Sicily. He commanded the 101st Airborne Division that dropped into Normandy behind Utah Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. After the war, he served as Chief of Staff of the Army (1955-1959), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1962-1964) and U.S. Ambassador to South Vietnam (1964-1965). Mounting paper remnant on verso shows slight in right margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
