Photograph signed: "Wes Clark", in gold ink, Color 8x10.
Wesley Clark (b. 1944) is a retired General of the U.S. Army and a
politician, most known for his bids as a presidential candidate. Graduating
as valedictorian from West Point in 1966, Clark went on to the University of
Oxford, obtaining a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He would
spend 34 years in the Army and in the Department of Defense, commanding
Operation Allied Force during the Kosovo War and receiving several high ranking
decorations and awards, including several honorary knighthoods and a
Presidential Medal of Freedom. After his long and decorated military career,
Clark began working in politics, campaigning for the presidential democratic
nomination in 2004, and again in 2008. After both campaigns failed, however,
Clark backed nominees John Kerry and President Barack Obama in their respective
bids. Fine condition.
