Keyboardist TONY BANKS and bass and guitarist MIKE RUTHERFORD were founding members of the progressive rock band Genesis in the late 1960s. PHIL COLLINS joined the group in 1970 as a drummer and became lead singer after the departure of Peter Gabriel in 1975. On stage, Genesis had additional members, but in the Collins, Rutherford and Banks handled the recording studio work during the group's heyday. Popular first in English, Genesis began to gather a big US fan base with the release of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (1973). Genesis won a long overdue Grammy for Land of Confusion (1987). All three members had some success as solo performers; Collins departing after We Can't Dance (1991). The threesome, joined on stage by other former members, reunited for a successful concert tour in 2006. Light corner creases. Stray ink mark at center of upper margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
