Inscribed photograph signed: "Much/Magic to/Paul!/Geoffrey Bayldon/71", in black felt tip, B/w 3½x5½. Known for various roles in British television, Geoffrey Bayldon's (1924-2017) career has spanned almost 60 years. His first major success was portraying the title role in the children's series Catweazle (1970), and he also had important roles as The Crowman in Worzel Gummidge (1979) and Magic Grandad in Magic Grandad (1993). During his television career, Bayldon turned down the opportunities to portray both the First and Second doctors in the popular television series Doctor Who, but he did voice the First Doctor in two audio plays based on the series. Most recently, Bayldon appeared in the film Love/Loss (2010). Corners and edges slightly worn. Pencil notes (unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
