on verso. SHAW, the 1925 Novel Prize-winning Dublin-born British playwright
and critic, mentions the distinguished character actor of the British stage who
also appeared in films, Sir CEDRIC HARDWICKE (1883-1964). (Hardwicke starred
in several of Shaw's plays, and the playwright quipped that Hardwicke was his
fifth favorite actor, after the four Marx brothers.)Shaw's works
include Man and Superman, Candida, Pygmalion, Saint
Joan and Major Barbara. Several nicks on image, one on his forehead.
