GEORGE BLANDA. Postcard signed: "George Blanda/7-27-81" on verso. Color, 6x4, depicting the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Blanda played pro football far longer than anyone else -- 26 years (ten with the Chicago Bears, seven with the Houston Oilers and nine with the Oakland Raiders). In five consecutive games with the Raiders (1970), he won four and tied another with last-second touchdown passes. Blanda threw 236 career touchdown passes and scored 2,002 points, most of them by placekicking. He retired in 1976, just a month shy of his 49th birthday. Blanda was enshrined in the Football Hall of Fame in 1981. Fine condition.
