"George N. Burns and Gracie Allen Burns", Bank of America, payable to
"MEL BLANC" for $73.50. Endorsed on verso: "Mel
Blanc". GEORGE BURNS (1896-1996) and MEL BLANC (1908-1989) worked
together on The Burns and Allen Show on radio in the 1940s. Blanc was
"The Happy Postman". He was also a regular on Jack Benny's radio show and later
on his television show. Blanc is more widely recognized as the voice of
virtually every major character in Warner Bros. cartoons, including Porky Pig,
Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Sylvester. Bank cancellation holes, not at
signature. Bank stamp on verso lightly shows through at the "B". Fold touches
the "N". Pinholes touch the "B" and "l" of Blanc's signature. Overall, fine
condition.
