Stone" in blue ink.B/w, 8x9¾ overall, 7¼x9¼ image, one surface, printed on cardstock, rounded corners.Joseph "Peppino" Micoli was the owner of Peppino's Restaurant on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California.Stone (1902-1967), born George Stein in Poland, is best known to TV audiences as the Court Clerk on the Perry Mason TV series (Stone was totally blind at the time). The actor, a friend of writer Damon Runyon, often appeared on the big screen in Runyonesque characters, such as Society Max in Guys and Dolls (1955) and Toothpick Charlie in Some Like it Hot (1959). After making his acting debut as "Sewer Rat" in Seventh Heaven in 1927, Stone appeared as "the Runt" in several Boston Blackie movies (1941-1948) and was featured in such films as The Man With the Golden Arm (1955), Baby Face Nelson (1957) Ocean's 11 (1960) and Pocketful of Miracles (1961). His TV guest appearances include roles on The Adventures of Superman (1955, 1956) and The Twilight Zone (1961). Lightly toned, creased, bowed and rippled. Light tear at bottom edge. Lightly worn and creased corners, with paper loss in top right corner. Otherwise in fine condition.
