Signature from Foreman on an ornate bordered card
Printed card signed in ink: "George/Foreman". 5x3 card with ornate trim. George Foreman (born in 1949) became world heavyweight boxing champion in 1973 by defeating Joe Frazier, then lost the crown to Muhammad Ali the following year. Amazingly, as a jovial, rotund boxer, Foreman regained the heavyweight title at age 46 (1994) and held it for three years. His often self-mocking commercials for mufflers, grills and food products have heightened his celebrity status. Foreman was enshrined in the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2003. Ink note on verso (unknown hand) shows through faintly at bottom margin. Stray ink mark in lower right. Corners slightly worn and ceased. Slightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
