GEORGE HAMILTON
Signed color lobby card of George Hamilton's movie Your Cheatin' Heart.
Lobby Card signed: "George/Hamilton". Color, 14x11. Promoting the 1964 biopic, Your Cheatin' Heart, which starred Hamilton as country music legend Hank Williams, Sr. and Susan Oliver (also pictured) as his wife, Audrey. ©1964, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. Hamilton, who received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Williams (whose songs were re-created for the soundtrack by Williams' 15-year-old son, Hank Williams, Jr.), also appeared in Looking for Love in 1964. He was also seen on the small screen on episodes of The Celebrity Game, Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre, The Rogues and Burke's Law. Although recruited more for his looks than his acting, George Hamilton (born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1939) proved his acting talents, especially in comedies such as Love at First Bite (1979) and Zorro, the Gay Blade (1981). He earned praise for his portrayal of Moss Hart in Act One (1963). The eternally suntanned Hamilton has been familiar to TV viewers in such series as The Survivors (1969) and Dynasty (1985-1986) and as host of The Family, a "reality show" that debuted in 2003. Lightly creased and soiled. Staple holes at upper left corner. Pencil notes (unknown hand) on verso (no show through). Mounting tape on verso lightly shows through at mid left and right blank margins. Overall, fine condition.
