Typed Document signed: "George Maharis", 1p, 8½x11. No place, 1961 June 27. Headed: "Release Form". In letter form to the News Syndicate Co., Inc., New York, New York. Begins: "Gentlemen". In full: "In consideration of the publicity to be given to me and which may arise herefrom, my consent is hereby irrevocably given to you, your assignees and licensees, and to the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate, Inc., and its subscribers and licensees, to use my name, picture, or portrait, in publications for editorial or promotional purposes, excluding, however, commercial advertising." Best known for his role as Buzz Murdock on Route 66 (1960-1963), stage, screen and television actor George Maharis (1928-2023) made his film debut in 1960's Exodus. His other film credits include The Satan Bug (1965), The Sword and the Sorceror (1982) and Doppelganger (1993), but Maharis found more success on the small screen. In addition to Route 66, he starred on the short-lived series, The Most Deadly Game (1970-1971), appeared in the miniseries, Rich Man, Poor Man (1976) and was in a number of made-for-TV movies. The multitalented performer also found success singing in nightclubs and is an impressionist painter. Fine condition.
