George Nader (1921-2002, born in Pasadena, California) was an
American actor with over 60 films and TV shows to his credit between 1950 and
1974. Nader got his start at the Pasadena Playhouse before going on to
play rugged, often bare-chested roles in the 1950s, including a notable
performance as Lt. Dave MacDougall in 1956's Away All Boats. He moved
to low-budget European films in the 1960s; his character FBI agent Jerry
Cotton was popular in Germany for several years. Nader, a gay man who had a
relationship with Rock Hudson's secretary, Mark Miller, until Nader's death,
also wrote a science-fiction novel in 1978, Chrome, about gay
robots. B-movie fans may recognize Nader as the scientist Roy from Robot
Monster (1953). Fold crease not at signature.Fine
