Youthful 3½x5½ image of the dancer and choreographer. A rare signature.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "Pour Louise/George Reich". B/w, 3½x5½. American dancer and choreographer George Reich (1926-2013) danced with the Ballet Markova Dolin Company and appeared in Broadway musicals. He danced at the Lido in Paris for two years. He danced with Leslie Caron in MGM's The Glass Slipper (1952), and with Moira Shearer in Black Tights (1960). He choreographed and directed shows for such stars as Josephine Baker, Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf and Brigitte Bardot, and at major casinos from Monte Carlo to Las Vegas. He created award-winning shows for Carnival Cruise Lines, the first such large-scale shipboard productions. Corners and edges lightly worn. Lightly toned. Signature slightly smeared on the 'I' in "Louise", but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
