While serving as Grant's Secretary of the Treasury (1869-1873), Boutwell was elected to complete newly elected Vice President Henry Wilson's term in the U.S. Senate (1873-1877) representing Massachusetts. Toned. Slightly creased. Shading touches "ll" in Boutwell. 2 horizontal folds do not touch writing. 2 pinhead-size holes at blank areas. Mounting residue on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
