Stage, screen and television actor George Segal (1934-2021) was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his performance as Nick in the 1966 film version of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Segal, an accomplished banjoist who had made his off-Broadway debut in 1959, made his TV debut the following year in the made-for-TV movie, The Closing Door, and his film debut in 1961 in The Young Doctors. His long list of film credits includes The Longest Day (1962), King Rat and Ship of Fools (both 1965), Saint Valentine's Day Massacre (1967), Bye Bye Braverman and No Way to Treat a Lady (both 1968), The Owl and the Pussycat (1970), Blume in Love and A Touch of Class (both 1973), Look Who's Talking (1989) and its sequel, Look Who's Talking Now (1993), and The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996). Best known to TV audiences as Jack Gallo on the witty sitcom, Just Shoot Me (1997-2003), Segal has also appeared in several TV movies and TV series, including Murphy's Law (1988-1989), and made guest appearances on shows from Play of the Week (1960) to Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (2003). Lightly creased at blank corners and margins. Minor surface creases (most not evident head on), some touch facial image. Overall, fine condition.
