Monte Carlo, 1959. French painter Georges Braque (1882-1963) painted everything from
landscapes to still-lifes, his style evolving from Impressionism to Fauvism to Cubism.
Braque and Picasso were co-developers of the Cubist style. By the time of his death, Braque
was considered one of the great elder statesmen of the art world. Additionally, he is credited
with producing the first papier collé picture in 1912. Lightly creased at blank margins.
