GERALD S. O'LOUGHLIN

The actor is shown gazing into the camera and wearing a square shirt in this black and white photograph

Inscribed Photograph Signed: “To Henry/Great keeping/in touch/over the years/Yours, O'Loughlin” in black felt tip. 8x10. A native New Yorker known for his rough and tough demeanor, Gerald S. O'Loughlin (b.1921) has made his mark both on stage and on screen. Famous for his role as the mean and fierce Lt. Ed Ryker on The Rookies (1972-1976), O'Loughlin has appeared in 115 movies and television shows over 60 years, with some of his most memorable roles in In Cold Blood (1967) and Something for Joey (1977). He was a favorite on stage for his surprising versatility, earning rave reviews for his performances in A Streetcar Named Desire (1956) and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1963-1964). After he filmed an episode for Juding Amy in 2001, O'Loughlin took a break from acting, and was not seen for some time. However, after 7 years of silence, O'Loughlin reemerged on-screen as Melvin in the 2008 short Destinesia. Slightly soiled and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
