The English stage and television actress signs a slip of pink paper
Signature: "Geraldine McEwan", 5x1¾. English actress
Geraldine McEwan (1932-2015) performed at the Theatre Royal, Windsor for
two years before making a successful West End debut in Who Goes There!
(1951). She performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, specializing in
comedic roles, and won a BAFTA for Best Actress in Oranges Are Not the
Only Fruit (1991). Making a rare Broadway appearance, she earned a
Tony nomination for Best Actress in The Chairs (1998). Her
first directing opportunity came with the Renaissance Theatre Company in
1988: As You Like It with Kenneth Branagh in the cast. Her TV career,
dating from the mid-1950s, culminated in the starring role of Agatha Christie's
Miss Marple in the Granada Television series (2004-2008). Irregularly
