Giacomo Puccini sends an autograph letter in Italian.
Autograph Letter Signed: "G Puccini" on verso of 3½x5½ postal
card. No place, postmark illegible except for 1902. Addressed in unknown
hand to "Arturo Sergio de Sta Lucia" in Naples. In Italian, not translated.
Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924), the greatest Italian opera composer of his time,
is best known for La Bohème, Tosca, and Madama Butterfly.
His last opera, Turandot, was uncompleted at his death, but is
considered by many to be his finest work. Slightly creased and worn. Lightly
soiled on front and verso, touching writing (all completely legible). Tape
remnant at lower margin of address side. Fine condition.
