actress Gigi Perreau (b. 1941) made her film in 1943's Madame Curie, a film
that her older brother Gerald Perreau was vying to appear in. She went on to
a prolific acting career as a child and well into her 20s. While a child, she
appeared in a ton of films, including The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (1956)
and Dance with Me, Henry (1956). Throughout the 1940s she starred in many
foreign and domestic family-friendly films. However, like most child actors, she
couldn't keep her success on the silver screen going when she grew up.
Perreau started appearing almost exclusively on TV starting in 1953, with
recurring roles on The Betty Hutton Show as Pat Strickland (1959-1960) and
on Follow the Sun as Katherine Ann Richards (1961-1962). She all but retired
from acting after 1967, with a few acting credits in the 1970s and the new
millennium. Her brother Gerald Perreau (usually credited as Peter Miles) made
his screen debut a year after she made hers, eventually becoming a successful
actor and screenwriter. Lightly creased and bowed. Light scratches on image (not visible
head-on). Otherwise, fine condition.
