GIL ROGERS The prolific character actor addresses this envelope to Todd Axelrod, C.E.O. of the Gallery of History Autograph Envelope signed: "Gil Rogers" in black ink as part of the return address, 12x9. Two 20-cent Douglas Fairbanks stamps affixed, postmarked Richmond, Virginia, September 29, 1984. Addressed by Rogers to: "Mr. Todd Axelrod, American Museum of Historical Documents, 520 S. 4th St., Las Vegas, Nevada 89101". At upper left corner, Rogers has written his two-line return address in New York City. Gil Rogers (b. 1934) has played character roles in a handful of films over four decades, and he has made guest appearances on a few TV series: Leave It To Beaver in 1960 and Law and Order in 2002. His real forte, though, has been daytime soap operas. Rogers played the villainous Ray Gardner on All My Children (1977-1979, 1982, 1993-1994, 1999 and 2001) and Hawk Shayne on Guiding Light intermittently from 1989 to 2009. The actor is the father of actress Amanda Hall Rogers. Lightly creased with fold that touches four words of address. Slightly soiled. Light stain at address from removal of address label. Torn open at blank right edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
