Contract signed "Gilda Radner" and by representative of Above Average Productions, Inc., both in blue ink. 7 pages, 8½x11, single-sided, photocopy. Jan. 30, 1979. Joint venture agreement between Gilda Radner and Above Average Productions, agreeing to conduct business as Above Average/Gilda Records. Radner appeared in two films from Above Average Productions: the TV movie The Rutles: All You Need is Cash (1978) and Bob & Ray, Jane, Laraine & Gilda (1979) Radner (1946-1989, born in Detroit, Michigan) was one of the original cast of NBC's Saturday Night Live (1975-1980), creating such characters as Emily Litella ("Never mind") and Roseanne Rosannadana. 1979, she moved to Broadway with Gilda Live, which became a film the following year. Radner's other film credits include The Last Detail (1973, her film debut), Hanky Panky (1982), The Woman in Red (1984) and Haunted Honeymoon (1986, her last film). Her autobiography, It's Always Something, was published the year Radner died. Her second husband, from 1984 until her death from cancer in 1989, was fellow actorGene Wilder. Lightly toned and creased. Staple holes at top edge. Photocopy marks. Otherwise in fine condition.
