GILDA RADNER. Lobby Card signed: "Gilda Radner". Color, 13¾x10¾ overall, image 13¼x9½ (one surface). Still from her 1984 film, The Woman in Red, which starred Radner in one of her rare dramatic roles as a wife whose husband had a "wandering eye". Captioned at lower margin. ©1984, Orion Pictures Corporation. In the year this film was released, Gilda Radner (1946-1989) married her co-star, Gene Wilder, with whom she had co-starred in the 1982 film, Hanky Panky. The couple would also appear together in Haunted Honeymoon. A versatile comedienne and actress, Radner appeared on the big screen in a number of films, but was best known for her brilliant comedy sketches. One of the original cast members of NBC's Saturday Night Live, the zany comedienne created such memorable characters as Roseanne Roseannadanna and Emily Litella, and she received the 1977 Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress in Variety. Two years later, Radner recorded some of her most popular material for an album, Gilda Radner, Live From New York, which led to a Broadway show and film, both titled Gilda Live. Fine condition. Framed in the Gallery of History style: 21x25.
