GILLIGAN'S ISLAND TV CAST
Publicity photograph for the 1960's series, signed by Russell Johnson (The Professor), Dawn Wells (Mary Ann Summers), and Bob Denver (Gilligan)
Photograph signed: "Russell Johnson/The Professor", "Dawn Wells", "S.O.S Bob Denver/Gilligan", Color 8x10. DAWN WELLS (1938-2020) remains best remembered as castaway Mary Ann Summers on the TV sitcom, Gilligan's Island (1964-1967). She has appeared in several reunion movies, and Wells has authored a Gilligan's Island cookbook. Comic actor BOB DENVER (1935-2005) is best known for two roles: Maynard G. Krebs on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (1959-1963) and bumbling first mate Willie Gilligan on Gilligan's Island (1964-1967). Denver, who would reprise his latter role in several made-for-TV movies, had made his film debut in 1959 (A Private's Affair). His film credits also include Take Her, She's Mine (1963) and Back to the Beach (1987), and Denver also appeared on Broadway in Play It Again, Sam (1969-1970). He also made several guest starring appearances on television, from Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall (1960) to ET in TV Land (2003), including multiple roles on Love, American Style and Fantasy Island. RUSSELL JOHNSON (1924-2014) was familiar to science fiction film fans of the 1950s, appearing in such favorites as It Came from Outer Space (1953), This Island Earth (1955) and Attack of the Crab Monsters (1956), as well as a classic Twilight Zone TV episode, "Back There" (1961). He is best remembered to TV fans, however, as "the Professor" (Roy Hinkley) in the sitcom Gilligan's Island (1964-1967 and various reunions since). Top left corner lightly creased. Slight surface creases. Fine condition.
