Ginger Rogers sends a personal letter of thanks.
Typed Letter Signed: "Ginger Rogers", 1p, 6½x8½. No place, 1949 February 24. On her personal imprinted stationery. To Ken, in full: "First of all, I want to thank you for making your print of "Bill and Coo" available for us last night; and secondly, I just couldn't wait to tell you how much we enjoyed it. We were so impressed by it-all the time and thought and ingenuity which went into it. We decided then and there we'd just have to come down and see you and your 'feathered friends' in person some night at Blackouts. Thank you again, and every good wish for your continued success and happiness. Sincerely". Ginger Rogers (1911-1995) was singing and dancing in vaudeville while still in her teens. A major film star of the 1930s and 1940s, she was usually sought for musicals and comedies, but she earned a Best Actress Oscar in the dramatic title role of Kitty Foyle (1940). Rogers is probably best remembered as the dance partner of Fred Astaire, with whom she starred in ten films. Slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
