Large signed 16x20 color photo of Cappelletti and Parilli in Patriots colors bringing some Grand Opera to their opponents with a placekick
Photograph signed "Gino Cappelletti" and "Babe Parilli", both in blue ink. Color, 16x20. Parilli and Cappelletti, a duo nicknamed "Grand Opera" by their fans, were on the Boston Patriots' first team in 1960. They were a vital part of the Boston Patriots' attack during the 1960s. CAPPELLETTI, born in Keewatin, Minnesota in 1934, was a wide receiver and placekicker for the Boston Patriots from 1960 to 1970. A five-time Pro-Bowler and 1964 Most Valuable Player, Cappelletti led the Americal Football League in points scored five times, total field goals made three times and field goal percentage once. He was also the Patriots' all-time leading scorer with 1,130 until Dec. 5, 2005, when Adam Vinatieri beat his total with a field goal. The Patriots have retired his jersey number, no. 20. Parilli, born in Rochester, Pennsylvania in 1929, is a former American pro football player. He played professional ball from 1952, when he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round, to 1969 with the New York Jets, with only a few seasons off. Seven of his 15 seasons were with the Boston Patriots. Parilli is a three-time Pro-Bowler, making it to the first team in 1964, and led the American Football League in passing yards, passing touchdowns and passing yards per game in 1964. Parilli also has one Super Bowl ring to his name from Super Bowl III, during his second-to-last season with the New York Jets. Fine condition.
