Autograph note on photograph signed: "to Howard/You're/something else!/and don't call/me your sweet hearts/ you have too many/ already. Carol Lawrence/Betsy Palmer etc. etc.. etc../Gisele MacKenzie", B/w 7x9. Gisele MacKenzie (1927-2003), who had her own radio show in her native Canada in the late 1940s, became familiar to American TV viewers as a regular on Your Hit Parade (1953-1957). She had some minor pop hits in the 1950s ("Hard to Get", "Pepper-Hot Baby"), and MacKenzie recorded several albums of popular music, starred on regional theatre stages and made TV guest appearances into the 1980s. She also wrote a song ("My City, L.A.") in praise of her adopted home that became quite popular. A few spots of the photograph are chipped off. Lightly bowed. Right edge soiled. Toning around edges. Irregularly cropped. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
