GLEN CAMPBELL
Glen Campbell signs a document consenting to having his image used for promotional consideration.
Document signed: "Glen Campbell" as Performer, 1p, 8½x11. New York, 1969 January 6. Release Form for News Syndicate Company Incorporated to use his image for promotional consideration excluding commercial advertising. Campbell appeared as a band member in the film, Baby the Rain Must Fall, and was a member of the house band on the TV series, The T.A.M.I. Show. An excellent guitarist, Glen Campbell (born in 1936) backed a who's who of popular recording artists, including Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. He filled in as a Beach Boy in 1965, turning down an offer to join that band permanently. Beginning in the late 1960s, Campbell had many pop and country hits of his own, including "Wichita Lineman", "By the Time I Get To Phoenix", "Dreams of the Everyday Housewife", "Galveston", "Dream Baby" and "Rhinestone Cowboy". A popular attraction on The Summer Smothers Brothers Show (1968), Campbell hosted two of his own television variety shows, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour (1969-1972) and The Glen Campbell Music Show (1982-1983). He also appeared in several feature films, including True Grit (1969), Any Which Way You Can (1980) and Rock-A-Doodle (1991, voice). From the 1990s, Campbell focused on live performances at his Goodtime Theater in Branson, Missouri. Fine condition.
