Incorporated to use his image for promotional consideration excluding commercial
advertising. Campbell appeared as a band member in the film, Baby the Rain
Must Fall, and was a member of the house band on the TV series, The
T.A.M.I. Show. An excellent guitarist, Glen Campbell (born in 1936)
backed a who's who of popular recording artists, including Elvis Presley and
Frank Sinatra. He filled in as a Beach Boy in 1965, turning down an
offer to join that band permanently. Beginning in the late 1960s, Campbell had
many pop and country hits of his own, including "Wichita Lineman", "By
the Time I Get To Phoenix", "Dreams of the Everyday Housewife", "Galveston",
"Dream Baby" and "Rhinestone Cowboy". A popular attraction on The Summer
Smothers Brothers Show (1968), Campbell hosted two of his own television
variety shows, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour (1969-1972) and The
Glen Campbell Music Show (1982-1983). He also appeared in several feature
films, including True Grit (1969), Any Which Way You Can
(1980) and Rock-A-Doodle (1991, voice). From the 1990s, Campbell focused
on live performances at his Goodtime Theater in Branson, Missouri. Fine
condition.
