Features a black and white 2½x2½ image of Balch, his wife Elise, and his son Olin. Verso has a short list of some of Balch's most famous publications. Glenn Balch (1902-1989) was an American author and military veteran who served in the Army Air Force from 1942 to 1963. He retired as an Army colonel. His publications include White Ruff (1958), Lost Horse (1950), and Indian Paint: The Story of an Indian Pony (1942). The latter publication was an anthology of short stories and was turned into a film, titled Indian Paint, in 1965. The film starred Johnny Crawford and Jay Silverheels. Lightly toned. Note on verso in unknown hand. Otherwise, fine condition.
