This is a collection of contracts for five supporting actors in the movie The Godfather II and is a fascinating look at what it takes to make a successful movie behind the camera and the lead actors.
A collection of four Screen Actors Guild free lance contracts and one loanout agreement for supporting actors in Godfather II (1974), the second of three films in Francis Ford Coppola's acclaimed Godfather saga. 1.) Contract signed "G.D. Spradlin" in blue ink, 3 pages, 8¼x13¼. September 18, 1973. Signed on first page. Lightly toned and creased. Staple and file holes at top. Lightly creased. Garey" as Secretary of Francis Ford Coppola Productions, Inc. SPRADLIN played Senator Pat Geary in Godfather II. A history teacher and successful businessman who appeared in his first film at age 41, Spradlin is recognizable as the General who briefs Martin Sheen over an elaborate lunch in Apocalypse Now (1979). ARGENZIANO played one of Michael Corleone's button men. A supporting actor in many films since 1970, he appears frequently on TV's Stargate SG-1. DE SAPIO appears as young Mama Corleone. She has performed mainly in European films, including the role of the abusive wife in Masoch (1980). ADAMS did not end up with a billed role in the film. He has been a stuntman in 70 movies and TV shows since 1960 and an actor in over 20 since 1957. BENSON, a former child TV actor and now successful TV director, was hired to play Young Anthony #2, but that part does not appear in the final version of the film. Godfather II (1974) is both prequel and sequel to the original Godfather (1972), voted in 1998 by the American Film Institute as one of the three greatest American films ever made. The final segment of the Godfather saga, all directed by Francis Ford Coppola and based on the novel by Mario Puzo, appeared in 1990. Five items.
