GOLDFINGER MOVIE CAST: SEAN CONNERY and GERT FRÖBE
Black and white publicity photograph of Sean Connery and Gert Fröbe in a scene from Goldfinger of them struggling for control of a gun aboard an airplane.
Photograph signed: "Sean Connery" and "Gert Fröbe". B/w, 10x8. Connery as James Bond and Fröbe as the villainous Goldfinger struggle for control of a gun in a climactic scene aboard an airplane. SEAN CONNERY achieved stardom as the movie screen's first James Bond in Dr. No. (1962), followed by From Russia With Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967) and Diamonds are Forever (1971). He has aged gracefully, earning a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for The Untouchables (1987), and starring in such vehicles as The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Rock (1996) and Entrapment (1999). During World War II GERT FRÖBE (1912-1988) atoned for his Nazi Party membership by hiding several Jews from the Gestapo. A comic actor in postwar Germany, Fröbe's subsequent weight gain led to his casting as a heavy in American films of the 1960s and '70s. Lightly creased, with barely visible scratches in lower portion.
