British actor GORDON HARKER (1885-1967) made over five dozen films from
1921 (General John Regan) to 1959 (Left Right and Centre),
including several films in the Inspector Hornleigh series (1939, 1941).
Music hall comedian DUGGIE WAKEFIELD (1899-1951) appeared in a number of
British films and shorts of the 1930s, including This Week of Grace
(1933), The Caretaker's Daughter (1934), and Calling All Crooks
(1938). Previously a music hall star and variety performer, Wakefield
ultimately returned to the stage after his movies proved unsuccessful. KEMBLE
KEAN AND LAUREL MATHER were a comedic and variety duo of the 1930's,
performing throughout music halls in Britain. While not much is known about
Kean's career after their separation, Mather appeared on television in the
1960's. Left edge slightly frayed and torn. Ink marks on left margin. Light
surface creases. Lightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
