GORDON S. WOOD
The Pulitzer Prize winning historian's signature in black ink
Signature: "Gordon S. Wood", in black ink, 6x4. Professor and historian Gordon S. Wood (b. 1933) is best known for his 1993 Pulitzer Prize for History winning bookThe Radicalism of the American Revolution. Although most popular of his works, Wood is not a one-off author: He is widely regarded as one of the most significant authors of American historical publications, so much so that it is often parodied. In the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, Matt Damon's character gets in an argument with a Harvard student who he accuses of simply "regurgitating Gordon Wood". In 2010, Wood received the National Humanities Medal. Fine condition.
