Corporate minutes signed "Charles Edison" and by four other officers and the Board of Director's Secretary. Page numbers stamped in upper corners in blue ink. 2 pages, 8¼x11, 1 sheet, front and verso. May 4, 1932. Titled: "Minutes of a Meeting of the Board of Directors of/The Edison Storage Battery Supply Company". Held at the principal offices of the company in West Orange, New Jersey. The Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Assistant Treasurer E. H. Phillips, who "had just undergone a very serious operation, which might make it extremely dangerous for him to again undertake the strain of the duties of his office," and electing R. R. Karch as Assistant Treasurer and Credit Manager. Edison (1890-1969, born in West Orange, New Jersey) was the fifth of inventor Thomas Edison's six children. He briefly served as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Secretary of the Navy in 1940 before being elected Governor of New Jersey (1941-1944). Lightly toned and creased. Book binding remnants along left edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
