to: H.W. Correll, Chamber of Commerce, Pittsburgh, Pa. Accompanied by a
letter to Mr. Correll from Walter T. Brown, Secretary to the Governor.
Herbert H. Lehman (1878-1963) the investment banker (Lehman Brothers) and
philanthropist, served as New York Lieutenant Governor (1928-1932), Governor
(1932-1942) and U.S. Senator (1949-1957). Lehman also served as Director
General of the U.N. Relief and Rehabilitation Agency (1943-1946) and
received the Presidential Medal of Freedom (posthumously) in 1963.
Envelope is toned at edges and soiled. Signature not affected. Otherwise, fine
condition.
