JOHN A. LOVE. Typed Letter signed: "John A Love" as
Governor, 1p, 7¼x10½. Denver, Colorado, 1971 October 7. On official
letterhead to Danny Franklin, Sunnyslope, Arizona. In full: "I have
your very kind letter, and I appreciate both your generous comments and your
interest in Colorado. With regard to your question about former Governors, I
enclose an autographed photo and a list, including the Territorial Governors.
[Items not included.] I regret that we do not have the car window decals
which you requested. We anticipate that you will be able to visit Colorado soon
again, and, in the meantime, best wishes and warm regards. Sincerely". John
A. Love (1916-2002), a Republican, was Governor of Colorado 1963-1973. As
President of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce (1954), he was
instrumental in bringing the Air Force Academy to Colorado. Fine
condition.
