Curtis". B/w, 8x10. Kenneth Merwin Curtis (b. 1931) was
Governor of Maine from 1967-1975. During his tenure, he chaired the
New England Governors' Conference (1969-1970) and was Chairman of the
Democratic National Committee (1977). A veteran of the Korean Conflict,
Curtis had previously served as Secretary of State of Maine (1965-1966).
He was later appointed U.S. Ambassador to Canada (1979-1981) and was
President of the Maine Maritime Academy (1986-1994). Large crease at
bottom left corner. Ink note (unknown hand) at bottom margin. Otherwise, fine
condition.
