Photograph signed: "Patrick J. Lucey" as Governor of
Wisconsin. Color, 9x11 overall, image 7½x9½ (one surface). On cardstock.
Sent to a collector in 1973. Patrick Joseph Lucey (1918-2014) was
Governor of Wisconsin from 1971-1977, when he resigned to become U.S.
Ambassador to Mexico (1977-1979). A veteran of WWII, Lucey had previously
served as a Justice of the Peace (1946-1950), a member of the
Wisconsin State Assembly (1949-1951) and as Wisconsin's Lieutenant
Governor (1965-1967). In 1980, he ran as an Independent candidate for the
Vice Presidency of the U.S. Slightly creased at blank margins and corners,
else fine condition.
