full: "Where my husband and I - are here this minute, though our home is
in Providence where you addressed me. It was very kind of you to write me such a
pleasant, friendly letter about my books, and I appreciated it very much indeed
and thank you for it. You didn't happen to mention "Red and Black" or "High
Fields", which too I think I most enjoyed writing. Your address says that you
live in Michigan, that great state is such informative. I have been in Detroit,
but I thnk that is the only city I have visited. We have two daughters and a
son, and all grown up and worried. I thought you might be interested. Again I
thank you and with every good wish I am Faithfully yours". Grace S.
