Photograph inscribed and signed:"To Nina/Gratefully/Grant Williams". B/w, 8x10. Grant Williams (1930-1985) is best known for his leading role in the sci-fi film, The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957). A former stage actor, he had made his film debut the previous year, appearing in Red Sundown, Away All Boats, Outside the Law, Written on the Wind, Showdown at Abilene and Four Girls in Town. Primarily appearing in science fiction films and Westerns, Williams played similar roles on TV, guest starring on such shows as Gunsmoke (1959) and Bonanza (1965) in addition to appearances on Perry Mason (1964, 1965) and early TV anthology shows (Kraft Television Theatre, 1954, 1956; Studio One, 1955; Lux Video Theatre, 1955, 1956). From 1960-1963, he starred as Greg MacKenzie on the popular Hawaiian Eye. Williams, who also appeared on Broadway and sang for five seasons with the New York Opera, later opened his own acting school and wrote textbooks on acting. Lightly creased, surface striations. Otherwise, fine condition.
