GREEN ACRES TV CAST: EVA GABOR and EDDIE ALBERT
Black and white publicity photograph signed by Eva Gabor and Eddie Albert for their television show Green Acres.
Photograph signed: "Eva Gabor" (Lisa Douglas) and "Eddie Albert" (Oliver Wendell Douglas). B/w, 8x10. Photograph also depicts Pat Buttram (who did not sign) as Mr. Haney. Green Acres was televised on CBS from 1965-1971. New York lawyer Oliver Wendell Douglas, who had always longed for farm living, moves to Hooterville with his fashionable wife Lisa, who would rather stay in New York. Probably best known for his role as city slicker turned farmer Oliver Douglas on Green Acres (1965-1971), EDDIE ALBERT (1906-2005) had made his movie debut in Brother Rat in 1938; costars included Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1953 (Roman Holiday) and 1972 (The Heartbreak Kid), Albert's film career included Airport '79, Escape to Witch Mountain, The Longest Yard, Captain Newman, M.D., The Longest Day, The Sun Also Rises, The Teahouse of the August Moon, Oklahoma!, You're in the Navy Now and Hit Parade of 1947. Married and divorced only 5 times (sister Zsa Zsa was married 9 times; sister Magda was married 6 times), EVA GABOR (1919-1995) is credited with saying "Marriage is too interesting an experiment to be tried only once." She was the first of the Gabors to arrive in the United States and appeared in films and on Broadway. However, she is best remembered as the socialite turned farm wife on Green Acres. Fine condition.
