Captioned in lower margin. Ink notation (unknown hand) on verso: Stage Door/Paramount/Fri. May 1, 1936". Popular bandleader GUY LOMBARDO (1902-1977) played "the sweetest music this side of heaven" His band, Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians, formed in 1924, with brothers VICTOR and Lebert Lombardo as original members. Guy, a violinist, soon concentrated on conducting. CARMEN, a saxophonist, joined the group soon after. Louis Armstrong called the group, which sold over 100 million records between 1927 and 1954, his favorite band.
