With warm personal regards, Sincerely".Henry John Heinz III (1938-1991), grandson and namesake of the H. J. Heinz who founded the food company, attained an MBA from Harvard Business School, taught at Carnegie Mellon University, and worked in the finance and marketing divisions of Heinz Corp. He represented Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives (1971-1977) and Senate (1977-1991), elected to the Senate 6 weeks before he signed this letter. Heinz died when the private plane he was flying collided in mid-air with a helicopter. His widow, Teresa, later married US Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry.
