Inscribed photograph signed: "To/Terrie/Hal Needham". B/w,
8x10. Harold "Hal" Needham (1931-2013) worked as a double in many TV Westerns
of the 1950s, including Have Gun, Will Travel and Gunsmoke.
Moving into films in the 1960s, he was Burt Reynolds' stunt double in several
films, including The Longest Yard (1974). He took a script for
what became Smokey and the Bandit to Reynolds, who let him direct that
hit film and its sequels. In 1980 Needham formed the company Stunts
Unlimited, and continues to work for film companies on stunt coordination and
design until his death in 2013. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso (no show
