BASEBALL HALL OF FAMERS: TED WILLIAMS, WAITE C. HOYT, LLOYD "LITTLE POISON" WANER, EARL AVERILL SR., STAN COVELESKI, BUCK LEONARD, MONTE IRVIN, WILLIAM H. "MEMPHIS BILL" TERRY
This baseball is signed by eight Hall of Famers. They include five All-Stars (Williams, Waner, Averill, Irvin and Terry); two-time MVP Williams; World Series-winning player-manager Terry; and Leonard, a Negro and Mexican League player who wasn't offered a serious shot at the majors until 1952, when he was too old.
Baseball signed by: "Ted Williams" (on the sweet-spot), "Lloyd Waner" (on the opposite sweet spot) "Wm. H. Bill Terry", "Waite C Hoyt", "Buck Leonard", "Stanley Coveleski", "Monte Irvin" and "Earl Averill". All but Irvin are deceased. 2½-inch diameter. All eight signers on this baseball are Hall of Famers. In addition, five (Williams, Waner, Averill, Irvin and Terry) were All-Stars. Williams was voted MVP twice, in 1946 and 1949. Terry led the New York Giants to a World Series win in 1933 and two National League pennants as a player-manager and then manager. Leonard was a Negro and Mexican League player who wasn't offered a serious shot at the major league until 1952, when he was over 40 and too old to play in the majors. Stamped "Haiti" underneath William's signature. Lightly toned, soiled and stained. Otherwise in fine condition.
