Each of the signers has added the year in which he was inducted into the National Professional Football Hall of Fame. Located in Canton, Ohio, the Football HOF was created in 1961. BOB LILLY, the star defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys (1961-1974), was elected in 1980. JOHNNY UNITAS (1933-2002), the legendary quarterback of the Baltimore Colts (1956-1972), had been elected the previous year. Unitas, who retired in 1974, had left the game with 22 NFL records and was the first quarterback to throw for 40,000 yards. DON MAYNARD had his greatest career triumph in 1968, when the wide receiver for the New York Jets (1960-1972) played a major role in the Jets' upset of the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III. He was elected to the Pro Football HOF in 1987. MEL BLOUNT, who played in six AFC championship games and four Super Bowl championships as cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers (1970-1983), was elected in 1989. SONNY JURGENSON, who played quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles (1957-1963) and Washington Redskins (1964-1974), had his best season in 1967, when he set a new NFL record (3,747 yards passing) and completed 31 TDS. He was elected to the Pro Football HOF in 1983. TERRY BRADSHAW quarterbacked the Pittsburg Steelers to four Super Bowl Championships and was named Super Bowl MVP in Super Bowls XIII and XIV while playing for the team from 1970-1983. He was elected to the Pro Football HOF in 1989. Both Jurgenson and Bradshaw continue their involvement in the sport with radio and television broadcasting respectively.
