HANK WILLIAMS JR. - AUTOGRAPHED SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH - HFSID 193260

HANK WILLIAMS, JR.
B/w publicity photo - matching shirt and hat, signature dark
glasses!
Photograph signed: "Hank/Williams/Jr". B/w, 8x10. The son
of country music legend Hank Williams, Sr., who died when his son was only
three, Williams became a popular country singer with a very different style from
his father's. While his concerts always contain some musical tributes to his
dad, Williams' style is rowdy "outlaw country", influenced by Southern
rock. Initially popular in the 1960s, he made an impressive comeback from a
near-fatal mountain climbing accident (1975) which required reconstructive
surgery and learning to talk and sing again. He had a string of No. 1 country
hits, peaking with three in 1981 ("Texas Women", "Dixie On My Mind" and "All My
Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down)". He was named Entertainer of the Year
by the Country Music Association in 1987 and again in 1988. He had 15
consecutive gold or platinum selling albums. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso
(no show through). Fine condition.
