Picture postcard signed: "Hardy Krüger". B/w, 3½x5½. Hardy Krüger (1928-2022), born in
Berlin-Wedding, Germany, is a German actor with over 60 move and TV shows to his credit.
Krüger's first movie appearance was in Junge Adler (1943), while he was a member of the
Hitler Youth. His next movie appearance wasn't until six years later, in Diese Nacht vergess ich
nie (1949), and he had to wait another three years for his first starring role, in Illusion in Moll
(1952). Krüger became a popular actor in Germany and made occasional appearances in
English and American films like The One that Got Away (1957), Hatari! (1962), The Flight
of the Phoenix (1965), Barry Lyndon (1976) and A Bridge Too Far (1977). He also played
Field Marshal Erwin Rommell in the 1988 mini-series War and Remembrance. Fine
condition.
