Typescript excerpt from David Wallechinsky's Complete Book of the Olympics. Harold Vincent Connolly won the gold medal in the hammer throw at the Melbourne Olympics (1956). The first American to throw the hammer more than 200 feet, he held the world record for 10 years. He was married from 1956-1973 to Czech discus thrower Olga Fikotova. He's now married to 3-time Olympian Pat Winslow. Staple hole at upper left corner. Fine condition.
